convert_me and philosophyOkay, so I'm bored and wanted to think some big thoughts for a change. So I signed onto a lot of communities, just poking around for something interesting to talk about.
This was a mistake.
First, there's the entire conversation about the relationship of religion and authority structures here. Then there was needing to correct someone about calling math a science here, with the associated whooping on the philosopher with a really bad understanding of Gödel's incompleteness theorem here (the guy actually says that "This statement is false." is obviously a true statement).
I need to get to Grad School. Bad.
[Edit: I'm pretty sure this is my first use of "truthiness" with anything like a straight face.]
